Alex Ahumada

Honorary Coordinator Mexico IIDCA

Alex Ahumada is the Honorary Coordinator of the IIDCA for Mexico. As a professional, he has a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, in addition to having a Master's degree in Molecular Biology.

Alex has spent several years as a university professor specialized in nutritional management, Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome. Despite his young age, since 1989, he has been an international speaker on topics related to Diabetes and Obesity in different prestigious entities in Mexico, the United States, and other parts of the world.

Ahumada has shared his knowledge in various Mexican media in order to bring greater awareness to the population of the benefits of physical activity and proper nutrition. He has also worked as a professional advising important Mexican athletes, as well as teams of various competitions such as the “Burros Blancos” of Mexican American football.

In that desire to share knowledge, he has written a book published on Amazon called “Not because the world is round, the inhabitants should be,” where he aims to teach healthy living habits. Professionalism, academic hierarchy and his performance as a constant teacher for the entire population; It has allowed him to obtain the “Azteca Warrior” Award in 2019, awarded by the Mayor's Office of Iztacalco, in recognition of his work.
