Nelson Gómez has been appointed as the IIDCA Foundation Delegate for Colombia, a key position to promote good practices and customs in the field of fitness and physical education. IIDCA delegates, like Nelson, are recognized for their experience and willingness to share knowledge, advise professionals and help professionalize the fitness sector. Their role as “talent scouts” and liaison with the IIDCA community allows them to open doors internationally and support educational entrepreneurs and private companies in their development.

Nelson Gómez is an international speaker with more than 35 years of experience in the fitness field. Born in Bogotá, he has a degree in physical culture and sport from the Universidad Santo Tomás. Among his achievements are his participation in the IDRD's Recreovía program from 1993 to 2000, his participation in the IDRD's Guinness Record in 1998 and his 17-year work at the Santo Tomás University gym, as well as 10 years at the Nueva Granada Military University and another 10 in gym chains such as Bodytech Gym.

His international career includes participation as an exhibitor at fitness conventions in Colombia, Venezuela and Mexico, highlighting events such as Expo Fitness Mexico and the Femeama Convention. He is the CEO of Danzika Academy Fitness and creator of simultaneous bilateral methodologies for group classes, widely used in Colombia in aerobics and step classes.

Currently, Nelson is the owner of Body Vibratory in Mexico and runs a digital marketing agency in the fitness sector. He is an official supplier of major gym chains such as Bodytech and Smart Fit in Colombia, and has certified more than 6,456 teachers in Colombia and another 90 instructors in Mexico, France, Singapore and the United States, where he holds registered trademarks.

His vast experience and leadership make him a central figure in connecting the IIDCA community in Colombia with educational and professional opportunities internationally.
