Wellness Tourism is a post-pandemic trend

  14/08/2023 Noticias

More and more people organize their vacations in search of relaxation, spa, meditation, exercise and healthy eating. The Wellness industry, hand in hand with tourism, has become a trend, especially in post-pandemic luxury travel. The fast-paced life we lead, added to the great connection with technology 24 hours a day, made more and more people choose all kinds of activities on their vacations that help them disconnect.

In wellness tourism there are several points at stake: Walking, resting and doing things that make us happy without worrying about daily life, and that is where a new opportunity opens up for our industry, leveraged by tourism.

The various health problems derived from a poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle or little physical activity can be reversed with fun or relaxing activities where people should not think about anything other than the present.

This trend is reflected in figures that surprise us, since in Latin America the sum of 35 billion dollars was spent in "wellness tourism" in 2017, and after the pandemic it has been increasingly resumed.

The destinations are diverse, such as the Amazon or Patagonia, and this is the opportunity for professionals in the Wellness and Fitness industry to be able to plan activities together with owners of inns, cabins and all kinds of lodgings or private spaces.

Wellness tourism has arrived a few years ago, but despite the interruption due to the pandemic, it has shown that it is the trend for the coming years and a great opportunity for the sector in different countries of the world.
